About Us

Born and raised at the foot of the mountains where our parents come from, in a land where the vine and everything connected to it rules the way of life, we inherited from our father about ten hectares of vineyard that, with passion and agricultural study, we decided to cure and cultivate to obtain wines that express to those who taste them, all the passion that permeates our work.
Our company is in a splendid corner of Valpolicella, with 9 hectares cultivated in the pergola style, in the Valpolicella classic region (the oldest vineyards are over 50 years old), on a plateau at the foot of the hills which dominate the plain. With another 4 hectares on the top of a hill located about 250 meters away in east Valpolicella.
The Products
A new beginning
Work on the vine 'ends where it begins'… those branches most suitable, with pruning, will give new fruit.
After the winter rest, nature awakes with 'sweet tears' (i.e. the osmotic pressure that causes the rising sap to bleed out). The vines and their constant companion, the farmer, faces a new year. With particular work carried out on the buds, leaves and grapes, the vine is cared for in exchange for it's wonderful gift.
Genesis of a masterpiece
In autumn it's time to harvest. This is done in a particular way, after taking each bunch by hand and removing any small imperfections, the bunches are carefully laid in boxes in the vineyard and allowed to rest. Here the maturing process starts, where they will rest between 2 to 4 months or more, according to the kind of wine produced. During this time the grapes will go through a series of transformations that will concentrate the contents and will increase the quantity of Resveratrol, which is universally recognized as a beneficial substance which protects against cardiovascular diseases (as demonstrated by several international medical studies). After this, after a few more controls, the pressing of the grapes takes place.
Birth of a King
By pressing, beginning a series of fermentations that lead, after a long aging in wooden barrels of various capacities, the birth of a child of that wonderful land that is Amarone, which holds its fragrance every day at matured into what has always been his home: the Valpolicella.
These wines have been shaped by history, and this area in which people from across Europe have passed through and settled here, strong and determined northeners, warm and sunny southeners. These people have left their mark on the territory.
Amarone… strong, decisive, yet warm and sunny, just like the land and the people of it's origin.
Our wines, made exclusively with grapes from our production, and matured in oak barrels, are the result of painstaking work from field to cellar, transports to your table the sun and scents of Valpolicella.
Wines like children, have between them something in common (the territory) but they also express different characters, depending on the vintage. Like colour compositions, they reveal the history of our family.
The wine allows us to reconnect to our farming tradition, taking us on a journey of discovery of forgotten tastes, which were very common on the tables of our grandparents.
Our products remind us of the simple fruits of our land (like chestnuts, nuts, apples, pommygranits, jujubes, pears and so on) that once upon a time used to feed us through the harsh winters.

Geographical area: Valpolicella, Valley of the Kings

The Valpolicella is a land of masterpieces in art and culture, born in contact with another great work which is Amarone, the son of many artists, who with centuries-old knowledge and experience grow the vine and produce this and other extraordinary wines.
So much so that the processing stages of these wines are described in detail in the fourth century AD by Cassiodorus, minister of King Theodoric of the Visigoths, who supplied this wine to the canteens of the Sovereign.
The Valpolicella is a wine which drew another King, Rotari - King of the Lombards - who lived in Valpolicella, and loved it to the point that in 463 AD he issued an edict which commanded, those who wanted to fight must do so away from the vineyards, or face condemnation even if they had the right to fight.
Valpolicella is a land in which history was written by the more discrete inhabitants, who in the shade of the pergolas (old vine arrangement style) built step by step the story, linking to it its destiny.
